  • President Joe Biden said Russia’s decision to suspend its participation in the last remaining nuclear arms control pact with the U.S. was a “big mistake” but emphasized that there is no evidence thus far suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to use nuclear weapons.
  • “It’s a big mistake to do that. Not very responsible. And—but I don’t read into that that he’s thinking of using nuclear weapons or anything like that,” Biden said in an interview with ABC news.
  • President Biden added that he’s “confident” that the U.S. and Russia will “be able to work it out.”
