Putin Accepts Kim Jung Um’s Offer To Visit North Korea

  • During their recent interactions, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un extended an invitation to Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit his country.
  • The invitation took place during Putin’s hosting of Kim at a Russian spaceport on Wednesday. Putin expressed Russia’s willingness to assist Pyongyang in addressing the issues that had led to the failure of two attempts to place a spy satellite into orbit. The focus is now on whether Pyongyang will provide military support to Moscow for their conflict in Ukraine.
  • Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed the invitation, stating that Kim Jong Un had invited Putin to visit North Korea during their one-on-one interaction, and Putin graciously accepted. Further coordination of the visit is set to be conducted through diplomatic channels.
