- Time on Monday announced the magazine’s shortlist for 2023 Person of the Year that includes Russia President Vladimir Putin, China President Xi Jinping, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, King Charles III, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, and musician Taylor Swift.
- The shortlist also includes “Barbie,” the Hollywood strikers, and the prosecutors of former President Donald Trump.
- The inclusion of Putin follows the magazine selecting as its 2022 person of they ear Ukrainian President Volodymyr, whose country Putin has invaded.
