- Lake’s response? She posted a letter to Cheney on Twitter thanking her for endorsing her opponent.
- “Thank you for your generous in-kind contribution to my campaign,” Lake wrote. “Your recent television ad urging Arizonans not to vote for me is doing just the opposite.”
- Lake claimed that campaign contributions were “skyrocketing” and “our website nearly crashed” because of heavy traffic.
