Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has urged conservatives to participate in a boycott of the clothing retailer North Face, labeling it a “woke” company. Boebert’s call for the boycott comes in response to North Face’s latest ad campaign featuring a drag queen.
The video advertisement, shared on various social media platforms, showcases drag queen Pattie Gonia endorsing North Face’s nationwide tour called the “Summer of Pride.” The tour aims to celebrate diverse outdoor experiences and inclusivity within the LGBT community.
“Because we believe that exploration can take many shapes and forms,” Gonia wrote on Instagram alongside the video ad. “We’re making these events so much more than just a hiking tour. We’ll have workshops, panels and activities for all individuals who love to be outside.”
