REPORT: CNN Considers Comedians Jon Stewart, Bill Maher For ‘Nontraditional’ Primetime Show

Looks like CNN is looking to shake up their primetime hours!

  • CNN is considering Jon Stewart, Trevor Noah, and Bill Maher among other big names to host a “nontraditional” primetime show, according to a report from Semafor.
  • A “potentially more realistic prospect,” according to Tani, is Maher, since he’s “already in-house” at CNN’s parent company Warner Bros. Discovery with his HBO show,” according to Mediaite.
  • CNN has had two high profile departures in primetime, with Chris Cuomo leaving the network in a cloud of scandal, and Don Lemon demoted to a co-host of CNN This Morning.
