• Christine Drazan, the Republican to be the next governor in deep-blue Oregon, has opened up a 6-point lead in a new poll released by Clout Research.
• Drazan has a 44-38 percent lead over Democrat candidate Tina Kotek. Independent candidate Betsy Johnson got 11 percent of the support.
• Democrats have held the Oregon governorship for more than three decades, but Drazan recently received a $1 million commitment from Oregon native and Nike co-founder Phil Knight. Popular Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin also will campaign with her.
