Rights Group Says 19 Children Killed In Iranian Protests

Anti-government protests continue despite regime’s crackdowns and retaliation

  • As anti-government protests continue into their fourth week, a human rights group reported at least 185 people, including at least 19 children, have been killed.
  • According to Norway-based Iran Human Rights, “The highest number of killings occurred in Sistan and Baluchistan province with half the recorded number.”
  • Social media posts over the weekend showed videos of hundreds of high school girls and university students demonstrating, despite security forces’ use of tear gas, clubs, and live ammunition, rights groups said.
