Russia Loses Two Commanders In Ukraine Invasion

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revealed on Sunday that two senior Russian military leaders had lost their lives in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Colonel Vyacheslav Makarov, the commander of the 4th Motorized Rifle Brigade, and Colonel Yevgeny Brovko, the deputy commander of the Army Corps, were both killed during the weekend in eastern Ukraine.

In a key departure from the norm, the ministry acknowledged the death of a service member, stating that Makarov had personally led the battle from the front. According to the ministry, Makarov sustained severe injuries while defending against a third assault and subsequently passed away while being evacuated from the battlefield.
