Freshman New York GOP Rep. George Santos, already facing massive scrutiny and backlash for having fabricated much life story, also reportedly told some potential donors while running fro Congress in 2021 he was a producer on the musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, which lost tens of millions of dollars.

  • The show ran from 2011 to 2014 and also had technical mishaps and actor injuries.
  • Lead producer Michael Cohl has denied Santos’s claim, as first reported by Bloomberg New, and Santo’s name never appeared in the playbills for the show.
  • The 34-year-old Santos has admitted to lying in at least some parts of his life resume, amid calls for him to resign from Congress or be removed.
  • Santos has falsely said he graduated from Baruch College at which he was a volleyball champion and that he worked at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup.
