During an emotional interview on the “Today” show, Savannah Guthrie shared a profound spiritual experience where she said God “spoke” to her, offering her comfort amid the search for her missing mother.
Nancy Guthrie disappeared late January 31 or February 1 in Tucson, Arizona, after being dropped off at home by a family member. Her family has issued multiple pleas asking locals for help in finding the 84-year-old.
Savannah Guthrie, who plans to return to the “Today” show April 6, according to NBC, described the divine moment as one of the few times in her life she felt God speak directly to her.
“I did hear God speak to me,” Guthrie said as she wept. “As I said to myself, I can handle anything, God, I can handle anything. I just can’t handle not knowing. We can’t handle not knowing. I have to know.”
“And I heard a voice,” she continued. “And it said, ‘You do know where she is. She’s with me. She’s with me.’”
The experience took place during the traumatic disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy, who is believed to have been kidnapped from her Tucson home on January 31, 2026.
