Seattle Stops Delivering Mail To Dangerous Zip Codes

Due to rampant mail theft in South Seattle’s 98118 zip code, an entire community is currently experiencing a halt in mail delivery.

The issue primarily affects individuals residing in apartments and townhomes with cluster mailboxes. It is believed that the thieves have acquired a master key capable of accessing mailboxes throughout the entire zip code.

The 98118 zip code encompasses approximately 49,000 residents. As reported by KIRO 7, some residents have shared that they will need to collect their mail directly from the post office until at least June 3.
