- A 104-year-old resident of Chicago, Dorothy Hoffner, embarked on an adventurous journey by trading her walker for a harness and parachute in an attempt to secure the title of the oldest person in the world to ever go skydiving.
- On Sunday, Dorothy Hoffner’s daring feat unfolded at Skydive Chicago Airport in Ottawa, Illinois, approximately 85 miles southwest of Chicago. Following her 13,500-foot tandem jump, she received a warm welcome from spectators and touched down safely, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.
- After her record-setting seven-minute plunge, Dorothy Hoffner addressed the crowd with inspiring words, declaring, “Age is just a number.” Her remarkable achievement is currently undergoing certification by Guinness World Records with the assistance of Skydive Chicago.
