Officials at Chennai Customs reported intercepting a female passenger carrying dozens of snakes in her checked luggage.
The woman, who arrived from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was attempting to smuggle 22 snakes of different sizes and species, as well as a chameleon, according to reports.
A video released by Chennai Customs shows the reptiles packed in clear plastic containers.
