• “I am giving serious consideration to entering the governor’s race. I’ll be announcing my decision soon,” he added.
• The state’s Republican Party already issued an endorsement for Attorney General Jeff Landry, making Kennedy’s decision to join the race a potential conflict with leaders in his own state.
