Arizona Independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema said Sunday that she will not consider becoming a member of the Republican Party.
The senator several months ago switched her political party affiliation from Democrat to Independent.
Sinema faces a tough reelection campaign next year, to which she has yet commit. And political observers thinks she switched parties to better navigate the state’s divide electorate.
On CBS’s “Face the Nations,” Sinema argued the country’s two-party system is broken, then said to the question of whether he’d join the GOP: “No. … I literally just spent time explaining how broken the two parties are.”
