Some School Content So Obscene, Parents Can’t Even Read It On TV

  • Parents find themselves in an odd conundrum. They want to publicize the obscene material being given to their children in order to get it out of classrooms. But television stations won’t broadcast their comments on that material.
  • Parental rights advocates say that television and radio stations don’t allow them to discuss the obscene material their children are being given in schools.
  • “When my kids were younger or just in my earlier life, I can’t think of a time that I would be talking about a children’s book, and I couldn’t discuss it on the radio,” Erika Sanzi, director of outreach at Parents Defending Education, told the DCNF. “This is a new phenomenon where you cannot discuss what is in a book used for children.”
