Spielberg Debuts Much Anticipated Movie Memoir

"The Fabelman" was reportedly debut at Toronto International Film Festival with "thunderous applause."

Film is 75-year-old Spielberg’s most autobiographical film that he say has been in the making his entire life.

Story written with Tony Kushner, playwright whose play about his childhood, “Caroline or Change,” was Broadway success.

Spielberg’s  film draws extensively from the director’s own childhood.

“It’s something obviously I’ve been thinking about for a long time,” Spielberg said after the screening late Saturday.
