During a hearing on Wednesday, Missouri Democratic Representative Cori Bush asserted that the regulation of gas stoves primarily aims to address the issue of “indoor air pollution.”

She made this statement as part of her opening testimony during an Oversight Committee hearing that focused on the necessity of regulating this common household appliance.

In her remarks, Bush expressed her disappointment with her Republican colleagues, suggesting that they should show the same level of concern for black and brown communities who are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis.
