Storm-Ravaged California Hit With Another Round Of Wind, Rain, Snow

The Pacific storms, which meteorologist call "atmospheric rivers" have been coming ashore for several weeks, including a new round this weekend.

  • The storm are forecast to continue into early next week, with the rains ending Tuesday.
  • In this weekends storm, as has been the pattern, bands of rain with gusting winds started in the north moved south, according to the National Weather Service.
  • As many as 68,000 utility customers were without electricity early Saturday.
  • “The reality is that this is just the eighth of what we anticipate will be nine atmospheric rivers —- we’re not done,” Gov. Gavin Newsom said Saturday about the deadly storms
  • There have been at least 19 storm-related deaths.
