Study Finds: Give Babies Peanut Butter, Cut Allergies

  • Feeding young babies that are between four and six months old small amounts of smooth peanut butter could significantly reduce peanut allergies, according to scientists.
  • Research found that introducing peanuts at this time in a child’s development could reduce the allergy by 77 percent.
  • This is the equivalent to preventing 10,000 out of the approximately 13,000 instances of peanut allergies every year.
