Survivors: Bills Hang On To Beat Miami In Season Of Extraordinary Challenges
The Buffalo Bills on Sunday defeated the Miami Dolphins in a season in which a starter went into cardiac arrest on the field after a tackle and a record snow storm that forced the team to play a home game in Detroit.

- On Jan. 2, Buffalo Bills Damar Hamlin safety collapse on the field after making a tackle on a “Monday Night Football” game.
- Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field and reportedly another time that night but almost miraculously was released from hospital care about a week after the incident.
- On Sunday the Bills lead early in the wildcard game against the Dolphins but lost the lead, then regained it to win 34-41.
- The late-November storm dump as much as 80 inches on one town, but the record-breaking measure for Buffalo was the daily snowfall for Nov. 19 of 21.5, mashing the previous record for the date of 7.6 inches.
