‘Swamp’ All In For Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris held a large rally in our nation’s capital Tuesday evening, with just one week until Election Day.

Harris wrapped up her so-called “closing arguments” just after eight o’clock to a crowd of tens of thousands of supporters. Over 50,000 attendees were expected but according to the Harris campaign, as many as 75,000 were in attendance.

As expected, Harris focused on contrasting herself with the former president.

“It is time to turn the page on the drama and the conflict, the fear and division,” said Harris.

This site of tonight’s rally was symbolic. With the White House directly in its backdrop, the Ellipse is the site of former President Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally on January 6, 2021, which preceded the U.S. Capitol insurrection.

Leading up to Tuesday night, the Harris campaign said she was focused on turning this election into a referendum on the Trump-era. While speaking about the future and about unity, Harris said Americans have much more in common than people think.

If elected, Harris pledged to seek common ground and common-sense solutions. Harris supporters were excited to be a part of the rally.

“I believe that we need a change and I believe she is the only candidate who can make a change for the country,” said Jaime Monllor, a Harris supporter.
