According to authorities, a scuffle broke out, leading to one person, being stabbed. Officials identified the victim as a 17-year-old boy. He is in the hospital in critical condition.
The LAPD declared the remaining protesters involved in an unlawful assembly and ordered them to disperse. The protesters eventually left the area, with some later gathering on the Sixth Street Bridge. Spring Street was closed in front of City Hall and Grand Park for a police investigation.
