Ticking Time Bomb: Millions Of EV Batteries To Be Retired By 2030

• Between now and 2030, more than six million electric vehicle battery packs will be scrapped.
• The recycling and reuse industries aren’t ready for that; by some estimates, recycling alone will be more than a $12 billion industry by 2025.
• The concern is that the lithium-ion EV batteries will sit around like a ticking time bomb, waiting for a recycling solution.
