Treasury’s Janet Yellen Warns Of ‘Chaos’ If Biden, McCarthy Don’t Cut Debt Deal

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen went on TV Sunday to warn that failure to raise the debt ceiling will cause a “steep economic downturn” in the U.S.

Yellen also reiterated her prediction that a vote to raise the debt limit needs to happen by June.

Without it, she said,“ It’s widely agreed that financial and economic chaos will ensue.”
