Former President Donald Trump on Thursday took another swing at Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis’ glitch-filled presidential campaign announcement the previous night on Twitter.
“I think he had a rough opening,” Trump told reporters at his northern Virginia course golf course.
The comments were Trump’s first on camera following several negative ones Wednesday about the DeSantis announcement.
“I thought [South Carolina Sen.] Tim Scott’s opening was a lot better, obviously, despite the microphone,” said Trump, the presumptive frontrunner in the 2024 GOP presidential primary. “DeSantis had a big problem last night. That was not a pretty picture to watch. But I wish them both well.”
