- McConnell pointed out the 100-member Senate already split 50-50, amid entrench partisan climate in which voters unlikely oust Democrat for Republican.
- “Why do Republicans Senators allow a broken down hack politician, Mitch McConnell, to openly disparage hard working Republican candidates for the United States Senate,” Trump posted on his Truth Social media site.
- Trump also attacked Elaine Chao, McConnell’s wife and Trump’s Transportation secretary, saying, lawmaker should “spend more time (and money!) helping them get elected, and less time helping his crazy wife and family get rich on China!”
