Trump Claims There Were ‘Tears’ As DeSantis BEGGED For His Endorsement

- In an interview with political commentator Hugh Hewitt, former President Donald Trump claimed Ron DeSantis begged for his endorsement during the Republican primary leading to the 2018 Florida Gubernatorial election he won by less than 1%.
- “He had nothing! He was dead, he was leaving the race, he came over and he begged me, begged me, for an endorsement. He was getting ready to drop out. There were tears coming down from his eyes. He said ‘if you endorse me, I’ll win,'” Trump said.
- DeSantis is widely rumored to be launching his own bid to become President in 2024.
