- Former President Donald Trump seems inclined to take up the Jan. 6 committee on its subpoena to testify, but only if he can do it live.
- Trump apparently is motivated by his desire to expose the committee as nothing more than a “witch hunt,” to borrow his oft-used phrase.
- It’s not clear if the committee will allow Trump to testify live, but it might not have a choice if the members really want to hear from him.
