UPDATE: Six People Killed In Air Crash

The fiery collision of two vintage military aircraft occurred Saturday in Dallas.

  • The Dallas County Medical Examiner said Sunday there were six fatalities at the Wings over Dallas air show.
  • The death toll was announced in a tweet by a Dallas county judge who also wrote that authorities continue to try to identify the victims.
  • The midair crash occurred at the Dallas Executive Airport, about 10 miles from the city’s downtown.
  • “I just stood there. I was in complete shock and disbelief,” said Anthony Montoya, 27, who saw the crash. “Everybody around was gasping. Everybody was bursting into tears. Everybody was in shock.”
  • Officials did not specify how many people were inside each plane, but the president of the company that put on the airshow, said one of the planes typically has a crew of four to five people and the that the other has a single pilot.
