VA Guv Also Exits Costly Climate Pact Pushed By Dem Predecessor

• VA Gov. Glenn Youngkin is pulling his state out of the costly Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, a multistate agreement intended to reduce carbon emissions.
• Youngkin’s predecessor, former Gov. Ralph Northam, entered the compact under the direction of the General Assembly.
• A Youngkin lieutenant said, “RGGI is a bad deal for Virginia and RGGI costs are being passed on to Virginian consumers.”
