- The Virginia state House is moving forward with a bill that would require transgender public school athletes to compete on teams that align with their biological sex.
- Virginia Beach Republican Karen Greenhalgh said her bill on student sports is meant “to protect our girls and young women from being forced to compete against biological males,” local outlet WTOP reported Monday.
- “Similarly gifted and trained males will always have the physical advantage over females, which is the reason we have women’s sports,” it added.
