- Three deputies and a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper were injured in a shooting incident that occurred in Dodge City on Monday morning.
- According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), the incident began when the Clark County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle driven by a wanted suspect, who fled and led police on a chase north towards Dodge City.
- Deputies from the Ford County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Highway Patrol subsequently joined the pursuit. When the suspect’s vehicle came to a stop, gunfire was exchanged.
