Lakeland Police in Florida have released a video that they claim shows a 13-year-old firing at an officer on Wednesday.
The video, as reported by WESH, depicts a teenager being chased by law enforcement around a corner in what appears to be an apartment complex, firing behind him. The video shows the teenager raising a weapon, and a flash can be seen as the weapon goes off.
Earlier that day, Officer Jamie Smith attempted to stop a car that he believed was involved in a drive-by shooting, according to WESH. Three people jumped out of the car, one of whom is alleged to be the 13-year-old shooter.
