• White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre mistakenly called President Joe Biden “President Obama” during a press briefing Thursday.
• Jean-Pierre was discussing Biden nominating Ajay Banga as the president of the World Bank earlier Thursday when she erroneously announced Obama had made the nomination before quickly correcting herself.
• “Okay, so today, as you all saw just an hour or so ago, President Obama announced that — um, pardon me, President Biden. Woah! That is news,” she said. “I know. I know. We’re going back, not forwards. We got to go forward.”
