- Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says she and other House Republicans were assaulted by a man blowing a whistle during a visit to a D.C. jail in January 6 defendants are being held.
- In the clip that Greene posted to Twitter, a man wearing a COVID-19 mask and dark sunglasses can be seen blowing a whistle into a woman’s ear.
- The woman appeared to be holding her hands over her ears.
- Greene posted: “We toured the DC Jail today and held a press conference outside the jail after our tour. This man assaulted everyone there by blowing a whistle as loud in as he could in other’s ears and tried multiple times to assault me and other members. My staffer called 911 and reached an automated recording for several minutes before reaching a human. Reported the guy. She then asked the jail to send out an officer and they refused.”
- The man who appears to be blowing the whistle seem to bark “Don’t touch! Touch, you die!,” when someone approaches him.
