‘We Used To Want Love, Now We Just Want Likes,’ Chris Rock Slapback

Comedian, entertainer Chris Rock on Saturday night, a year after Will Smith smacked him on the Academy Awards stage, finally gave his full response to the ugly incident with a Netflix live-streamed stand-up special.

  • The 58-year-old comedian performed his first stand-up special since last year’s Oscars, titled, “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage.”
  • “You never know who might get triggered,” Rock said. “Anybody who says words hurt hasn’t been punched in the face.”
  • Rock performed at the  Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore.
  • The show marked Netflix’s first live-streaming presentation.
  • Rock covered a wide-range of contemporary issue including so-called “virtue signaling,” high-priced yoga pants, the Kardashians, the Capitol riot and what he called America’s biggest addition: Attention.
