With London Game, NFL Fans See About 14 Straight Hours Of TV Football

The Minnesota Vikings will play the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in London in a game that will be broadcast in U.S. at 9 a.m. Eastern.

  • Combined with the NFL’s traditional 1 p.m.  and 4 p.m. games, then the Sunday night game, football fans can see about 14 straight hours of televised football.
  • There is about a 90 minute break in live action between the 4 p.m. and night game, but networks will fill that gap with post- and pregame highlights and live analysis.
  • The NFL also has games on Thursday and Monday, raising concerns about whether over-saturation has led to lack of fan enthusiasm, engagement.
  • However, most reports appear to show bigger TV ratings at the start of this season compared to last years.
