‘Woke’ Disney Headed For Worst Fiscal Year Since 1974

  • Disney’s stock price is on pace for the steepest decline since 1974, having fallen 45% this year.
  • The last-ditch 2022 effort to bolster the company – the release of the “Avatar” sequel – has met with a respectable, but hardly impressive, reception at the box office. Director James Cameron said the film needed $2 billion in sales to break even.
  • Disney+ also has struggled, losing $1.5 billion in 2022 alone.
