- Researchers from Canada and Argentina claim that most mannequins that are used to promote CPR on social media and in training images from North and South American organizations are all lean, white men.
- The experts analyzed 211 images for diversity, and published their findings in the Canadian Journal Of Cardiology.
- According to the report, 1.8% of the dummies used were fat, 15.2% were female, and 3.8% depicted a black person. “Awareness of this issue is crucial so that educational tools are representative of populations needing CPR in real life,” the lead investigator said.
