- The 28-year-old New York woman who shoving of an 87-year-old Broadway voice coach onto a Manhattan sidewalk last year, which resulted in her death, has been sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in prison.
- The attacker, Lauren Pazienza, pleaded guilty in August to manslaughter for the March 10 incident in which the victim, Barbara Maier Gustern, hit her head on the side walk.
- The judge in the sentencing Friday added six months to the eight months already agreed upon in plea deal, saying she didn’t believe Pazienza had taken responsibility for her actions.
