- Uncle Haji, who lived in the southern Fars province of Iran, believed that cleaning himself would harm his health.
- He also didn’t eat fresh food, preferring roadkill and smoking a pipe filed with animal excrement. Doctors said he seemed healthy despite his total lack of hygiene.
