- Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) may not run for reelection for his Senate seat but could opt for higher office, according to one expert.
- Fairmont State University professor Greg Noone cited strong GOP candidates, including Gov. Jim Justice (R-WV), as a reason Manchin should consider a White House run.
- “I think Joe Manchin can have an impact on the Democratic Party — he can pull the Democratic Party back to the center,” Noone said.
