WV Moves To Expand School Choice

  • West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has asked the state Supreme Court to allow an expanded school-choice program to take effect.
  • Morrisey wants the Supreme Court to dissolve a lower-court injunction that prevented the state from implementing the Hope Scholarship school-choice program.
  • The program allows parents in the program to receive up to $4,600 annually through the fund.
  • Morrisey: “Parents and children deserve the chance to enjoy the opportunities the Hope Scholarship Act offers.” Morrisey said in the brief.
