According to a news release from the US Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, 29-year-old YouTuber Trevor Daniel Jacob plans to plead guilty to a federal charge after he purposely crashed a plane to gain views and later destroyed its wreckage.
Jacob admitted that he had planned to crash the plane in a video he created to promote a wallet, and then he concealed and got rid of the plane’s remains to prevent federal investigators from probing the crash site.
The release stated that Jacob, who is a pilot and skydiver, has agreed to plead guilty to one count of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation.
