  • During the spring of 2023, high school students across the city participated in the Maryland state math exam. Shockingly, out of the 32 high schools that administered the exam, thirteen reported that none of their students had demonstrated proficiency in math.
  • This disheartening revelation was brought to public attention through Fox45 News’ Project Baltimore. The data also revealed that a significant 74.5 percent of the tested students had earned a score of one out of four on the exam, which represents the lowest possible score.
