Six people – including five students and a security guard – were slashed and five have been arrested at a New York City charter school.
Police responded to a call at approximately 12:43 pm on Wednesday afternoon, where they found six injured people at New Dawn Charter High School II at 89-25 161st St. in Jamaica, Queens.
A fight reportedly broke out in the cafeteria on Wednesday, the Gothamist reported.
Officers discovered at least five students who were slashed, according to a Citizen app alert. Two had cuts on their hands and another in the face when police arrived at the scene.
A security guard who was injured reportedly tried to break up the fight. A teacher also took a knife from one of the students, according to the Citizen report.
