• Music stars from Neil Young to George Strait to Snoop Dogg on Saturday night celebrated music legend Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday at the Hollywood Bowl, in Los Angeles.
• Nelson, wearing a cowboy hat and playing a guitar with a red-white-and-blue guitar strap, sang the duet he did years back with musician Neil Young, “Are There Any More Real Cowboys?”
• The birthday celebration is being held Saturday and Sunday at the open-air amphitheater.
• “I want to thank all the artists who came out tonight to help celebrate whatever it is we’re celebrating,” said Nelson, feigning senility and getting a laugh at the Saturday night event, attended by 17,000.
