Texas bused additional migrants to the Washington residence of Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday, just days after the termination of Title 42, a pandemic-era policy that facilitated the swift expulsion of asylum seekers at the border.
A local TV station captured footage of migrants disembarking from a bus outside the Naval Observatory at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, coinciding with Mother’s Day.
According to the station’s report, these migrants originated from Del Rio, a city located in South Texas. Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) had previously tweeted that Texas had transported over 17,000 migrants to “sanctuary cities,” with more than 9,200 of them destined for Washington.
